SYNOPSIS
Silvana and Romuald, a middle-aged couple with no more children at home, lead a peaceful but uneventful life managing a remote truck stop. However, their routine is disrupted when Romuald falls victim to an online romance scam, putting their marriage and business in jeopardy. To save their future, Silvana takes action and competes with the young and alluring scammer to win back her husband before it's too late. This marks the beginning of a transformative journey for the couple who had lost confidence in their own attractiveness.
STATEMENT
The central aim is to explore men who are overwhelmed by their immature desires of youth. However, to picture a mature woman against a younger woman allows us to reconsider the match and appreciate the sex appeal and kindness of maturity rather than the superficiality and selfishness of youth. Additionally, I am intrigued by exploring the dynamics of romantic relationships over time, wondering if true sex appeal lies in the ability to sustain long-term relationships or in the excitement of discovering initial passion. Most importantly, I am captivated by online romance scams (such as Ivorian scammers or the infamous Tinder Swindler), and aspire to describe the manipulative tactics through a captivating work of fiction.
